Change a card and retry a payment

During checkout, choose the card you want before submitting payment. If a later charge fails, use the payment notice in your appointments to choose a saved card or add a new one.

In short

  • The checkout payment form lets you use an available saved card or enter another card.
  • A failed attempt does not complete the payment.
  • For a later failed charge, the payment notice shows which appointment needs attention and how much is owing.

Changing the card during checkout changes the card used for that payment. If a saved card fails after booking, choosing another card points that appointment to the replacement and Gloa continues the collection from there.

Change it during checkout

  1. Choose an available saved card in the payment form, or enter a different card. A saved-card list appears only when the payment form has access to your saved payment methods.
  2. Submit the payment and wait for the booking confirmation.

Fix a charge that failed later

  1. Open your appointments and choose Fix payment in the payment notice.
  2. Choose a saved card that works, or add a new card.
  3. Wait for the message that the card was updated. If a charge is already going through, Gloa asks you to wait instead of allowing a second card.
