Held, charged or refunded
A held booking is waiting for payment to finish; it is not a completed appointment payment. A charge is money collected, while a refund sends collected money back to the original card payment.

In short
- Held means the booking time is temporarily reserved while checkout finishes.
- Charged means a payment completed and money was collected.
- Refunded means collected money was sent back through the original card payment.
Gloa holds the appointment time while an unfinished checkout is open. That temporary booking hold is released when you leave an unpaid checkout, and an in-flight booking does not appear as a confirmed appointment in your list.
| Held | The appointment time is waiting for checkout to finish |
|---|---|
| Charged | The deposit, full total or later balance was collected |
| Refunded | Some or all collected money was returned to its original card payment |
Your card issuer can use its own wording for activity that is still pending. Use the booking confirmation to tell whether checkout finished, and use the original card account to look for a completed charge or refund.
| Checkout starts | The appointment time is held while payment is unfinished. |
|---|---|
| Payment succeeds | The payment is charged and the booking can be confirmed. |
| A refund is issued | The returned amount begins travelling back to the original card payment. |
| My card activity is pending but I have no booking confirmation | Do not treat the appointment as confirmed. Check your appointments before trying the payment again. |
|---|---|
| A refund does not appear yet | Check the account for the original card payment. Your card issuer controls when the credit is posted. |
