When the salon cancels your appointment
The booking leaves your active list, a cancellation notice is sent when Gloa has previously confirmed it by email, and any refund follows the policy attached to that booking.

In short
- A salon cancellation removes the appointment from your active list.
- For a future booking already confirmed by email, Gloa sends a cancellation email.
- If money was paid, the refund is calculated from the cancellation policy attached to the booking.
The salon cancels the existing booking rather than deleting it. You can no longer check in, cancel it again, or move it, and it no longer appears with your active appointments.
What happens to money
An unpaid booking has nothing to return. When a payment was taken, Gloa checks the cancellation deadline and the policy frozen onto that booking, then starts any refund that policy allows.
| The salon cancels | The booking changes to cancelled and leaves your active list. |
|---|---|
| Gloa checks the booking | The policy attached when you booked decides whether a paid amount is returned. |
| The notice is sent | The cancellation email identifies the salon, service, date, and time. |
| “The appointment vanished and I received no cancellation email.” | Check the email address used for the booking, including its junk folder, then contact the salon to confirm what happened. |
|---|---|
| “I expected money back.” | Read the cancellation email and the policy from your booking confirmation. The policy attached to the booking determines what is returned. |
