CALENDAR
The calendar
Manage every professional in one calendar. Clients see the same current availability on your booking page.
- One column per professional
- View the full team schedule or one professional’s day.
- Opening hours and closed days
- Set recurring days off, holidays and salon closures. The booking page applies them immediately.
- Breaks and time away
- Block an hour or a week for one professional or the full team.
- Walk-ins at the desk
- Add clients who arrive without a booking to keep the calendar current.
- No double bookings
- Once a time is booked, another client cannot confirm the same time.
YOUR CLIENTS
Client records
Keep the client information your team needs in one record. You control the information entered.
- Complete history
- Review visits, services, spending and preferred professionals.
- Private notes
- Record formulas, allergies and preferences for your team.
- Import your existing list
- Matching contact details identify imported clients as existing clients. Large imports submitted after bookings begin may require review before commission exemptions apply.
- Deposit requirements
- After a missed appointment, you can require a deposit for the client’s next booking. Client-facing wording remains neutral.
- Reviews from completed visits
- Only clients with a completed visit can leave a review. You can publish your own response.
PAYMENTS
Payments
Card payments are paid to your own account, not held in a Gloa balance. The terms accepted at booking continue to apply if you later change your policy.
- Deposit, full payment or card on file
- Choose the requirement for each service. Clients see it before confirming.
- Booking-specific cancellation terms
- A later policy change does not alter the terms accepted for an existing appointment.
- No-shows and late cancellations
- Apply or waive the fee accepted by the client at booking. No fee is applied unless it was disclosed before confirmation.
- Payouts to your own account
- Gloa does not hold these funds. The payment processor pays your account according to your payout schedule.
- Refunds, whole or partial
- Issue full or partial refunds. The adjustment remains recorded.
- Taxes shown separately
- Gloa charges GST and QST on its own fees as separate line items. They are not included in the price of your service.
CONVERSATIONS
Messages
Clients contact the salon without using a team member’s personal number. Messages and appointment details remain together.
- Chat inside the app
- Send photos and voice notes, and view read status.
- Reminders before every visit
- Send an email confirmation at booking, then reminders the day before and a few hours before the visit.
- Automatic change notices
- Clients receive an automatic email when an appointment is cancelled or rescheduled.
- Internal team thread
- Keep team conversations separate from client messages.
- Action notices
- See notices for failed cards, appointments requiring review and unanswered client messages.
- French and English
- Content, including the payment screen, appears in the reader’s selected language.
LOYALTY
Loyalty and rewards
Set the rules for points and rewards. A reward is used only when the client requests it.
- Points on your terms
- Set the points value and reward thresholds.
- Available rewards
- Offer a service, percentage or fixed amount and apply it to the booking total at the desk.
- Visible tiers
- Clients can view their current tier and upcoming thresholds.
- Reserved rewards
- A claimed reward is reserved for that appointment. A full refund restores it to the client’s balance.
ONLINE
Your storefront
Create a Gloa page with your colours, fonts and photographs. The booking button opens your current availability.
- gloa.ca / your name
- Use one short address on printed materials, social profiles and signage.
- Three templates
- Choose and adjust colours, typefaces, the hero and page sections in a live preview.
- Work galleries
- Add galleries and before-and-after images directly to your page.
- A QR code for the counter
- Print a code that links directly to your booking page.
- Already have a website?
- Connect it to Gloa and present the booking page under your name without the surrounding Gloa site.
- Local discovery
- Show your salon in map and search results with services, hours and current availability.
REPORTING
Reports
Reporting uses appointment and payment records already in Gloa, reducing duplicate entry and manual reconciliation.
- Configurable dashboard
- Arrange the tiles you use, including today’s schedule, revenue and new clients.
- Grouped reports
- Group reports by service, professional or period. View them on screen or export them.
- Sales and tips at the desk
- Review each sale and the professional associated with each tip.
- Accounting documents
- Access documents for each period, with taxes on Gloa fees itemized separately.
- Numbered documents
- Invoices and commission statements are not rewritten after issue. Corrections receive a separate numbered credit note.
- Items requiring review
- Appointments and payments that do not complete successfully are identified for review.
TEAM
Team and locations
