Why a deposit is raised
When you choose to take a deposit, Gloa applies the minimum shown on the payment or service screen. The preview shows the amount the client will pay.

In short
- A percentage deposit cannot be saved below the minimum shown on screen.
- A fixed deposit can be raised for a booking when the amount is too small for its total.
- No deposit remains available when you do not want to take one.
The minimum keeps a deposit large enough to hold the appointment and cover the fees shown in the payment breakdown. Gloa shows the correction in the field or preview rather than saving a lower promise and charging something else.
| While entering a percentage | A value below the displayed minimum is raised in the field. |
|---|---|
| While reviewing a fixed deposit | The preview tells you when the deposit for the example total must be higher. |
| Before the client confirms | The amount due is shown with the booking total. |
- Review the deposit preview with a service price that reflects your menu. The preview identifies when a minimum changes the amount.
- Choose No deposit if you do not want the minimum to apply.
- Save after the field and preview show the result you want.
| My percentage changed after I left the field | Read the minimum note beside the field; the editor raises lower entries to that minimum. |
|---|---|
| The fixed deposit is higher in the preview | Read the notice under the breakdown. It shows why the example booking needs a higher deposit. |
