Offer a service at your client's place

Say where each service happens, choose how far you travel, and let clients book a house call themselves.

Some of your work happens in your chair and some of it happens in somebody's living room. Gloa asks the question once, on each service, and then keeps your calendar and your public page honest about it.

Choose where each service happens

1. Open a service and look for where it happens. Every service you already have says at your place, so nothing moves unless you move it.
2. Choose at your client's place for work you travel to do. A client booking it is asked for her address before she can confirm.
3. Either means she comes to you. It is the answer for work you can do both ways but would rather do in your chair, because your chair is where Gloa books it. To let a client choose her own place, give that work its own service marked at your client's place.

What a client sees

A service you perform at your client's place appears on your public page and in search like any other, marked so that she knows you come to her. When she books it she is asked for the address, the apartment or buzzer, and anything that helps you find her, and all of it arrives with the appointment. A service that happens in your chair and a service that happens at hers cannot share one appointment, because nobody could keep it, so she books them separately.

1. Set how long you need to reach a client. It is one number for your whole business, and you set it once.
2. Gloa holds that time after every appointment at a client's place, on top of any cleanup time the service already uses, so the next client cannot be booked while you are still on the road.

How far you travel

The same page asks how far you are willing to go, in kilometres. That answer decides who finds you: a client searching from a place inside it sees you even when your own address is nowhere near her, and your page tells her you come to her. Leaving it empty is a fine answer too, and your page then says you travel without naming a distance.

What you charge for the trip

The same page lets you charge for going to her. It is one amount for your whole business, added once to an appointment that happens at her place, whatever the number of services in it. An appointment in your chair never carries it, and leaving it empty means you charge nothing for the trip, which is where every business starts.

You can also stop charging it once she books enough work. Give the amount from which the trip is free, and a client who reaches it sees no line for it at all rather than a line saying zero. That amount is measured on the services she booked, before the trip is added to them.
