Use the team time clock

Turn on clocking, understand how team members record a shift, and review their hours.

In short

  • The time clock is off until a person with business-settings access turns it on.
  • Only team members clock in and out; owners and managers do not use the punch control.
  • Each member sees their recent shifts, while the salon's timesheet shows team hours for the selected period.
  • A day with a house call on the calendar is the one exception to the location requirement.

  1. Turn on Enable time clock in the Time clock section.
  2. Turn on the location requirement if punches must be made near the salon. The salon address must be set before the location requirement is available.
  3. Have each team member choose Clock in when their shift starts and Clock out when it ends.
  4. Choose the reporting period and review each person's total in the Timesheet.

Selected periodThe Timesheet totals the recorded shifts for each member.
A member cannot clock in or outCheck that the clock is on. If location is required, confirm the salon address is set and have the member allow location access near the salon.
A member on a house call cannot clock inCheck that the at-client appointment is on that day's calendar at your salon, and that it is either unassigned or assigned to that member. Gloa allows the punch from the calendar entry, so a house call nobody wrote down looks like a person standing in the wrong place.
A member is already clocked inThey must clock out of their open shift first, including a shift left open at another salon.
No hours appear for the periodCheck the selected period and confirm that the member completed a clock-out for the shift.
