Keep up with message alerts
Use unread markers and device alerts so an important handoff does not get lost.

In short
- Unread markers remain in Messages even when your device does not show an alert.
- Open the conversation and read recent messages before replying.
- At the start of your shift, check Messages for anything unread.
Gloa marks conversations with unread activity and can alert your device when a new message arrives. Opening the conversation gives you the full context.

- Open Messages and find a conversation with a numbered badge.
- Open that conversation and read the newest messages.
- Return to the list and check any other conversation that still has a badge.
- Why did I not see an alert?
- Check whether your device allows alerts for Gloa. Even without a device alert, the unread marker remains in Messages.
- Does opening the alert show the conversation?
- A message alert takes you toward the relevant conversation. Read the recent messages before replying so you do not miss a decision already made.
