In short
- Import a comma-separated contact file instead of adding each client by hand.
- Match each source column, then review what will be imported or skipped.
- Import contacts as do not contact unless you can show they agreed to marketing.
You can import a comma-separated contact file instead of adding every client by hand. The review step shows what will be imported and what will be skipped before anything changes.
- Your exported contact file
- A name for each contact
- Consent records for any marketing permission
- Export your contacts from your previous system and open the client import flow. Choose the file, or paste its contents where that option is offered.
- Match each source column to the right client field. A name is required; columns you do not need can be ignored.
- Review the prepared rows and fix the source file if important names or contact details are missing.
- State whether these contacts agreed to marketing. If you cannot show that they did, import them as do not contact.
- Start the import and read the result. It tells you how many records were added or skipped.
