Keep your contact details up to date

Update your sign-in email or the separate address used for notification emails, and keep private details out of your public introduction.

In short

  • Your account email is the address you use to sign in.
  • You can set a separate notification email; without one, notification emails use your account address.
  • Neither address belongs in the public About text.

Change your account email

  1. Open Profile and find the Account section.
  2. Choose the email option.
  3. Enter your current password and your new email address, then submit the change. Follow the confirmation sent to the new address.

Change where notification emails arrive

  1. Open Profile and find Notifications.
  2. Open the notification email address editor.
  3. Enter an address and save, or clear it to use your account email.
I changed the notification address but still sign in with the old oneThe notification address does not change your sign-in. Use the Account email option to change the address on your account.
